I just got my hair done yesterday and will tell you I love it. This place is so professional when you walk in the door the stylist is waiting for you. The people are really nice and they take the time to listen and do you hair the way you like it. I felt like I had a new head on my shoulders when I went home.

I came in about a month ago and will be back soon. Loved the service.

Excellent customer service, very friendly and by far the best pedicure I receive ever, and I'm a regular goer to the nail salon. My husband, 2 daughter and myself got a pedicure and it was outstanding 10 star Iif I could give them more stars.

If you have not been here yet you owe it to yourself to go once!!! These girls are the BEST and very creative just the best out by far. I can not say enough other then try them you to will be hooked thanks so much for everything!!!

Had a wonderful experience staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable. Got the keratin treatment on my natural hair and it feels so amazing and healthy. I will be coming back new to the area and this is my new salon.

The staff is always friendly, they listen to my concerns and what I want out of my hair and give me their recommendations. This salon values their customers and are always looking for ways to improve themselves. For me is a drive but I rather make the drive than be undervalued. My hair is always on point!

I love this salon. I've been getting my hair done at this salon for about 3 years. I rarely have to wait more than 5 minutes before they whisk me away and start on my hair. The staff is friendly and the owner is so nice. My hair has grown like crazy and I always leave happy.

Naturalistas stay away!

I've been natural for 5 years. I came into the hair shop with my hair detangled, conditioned and at its most heathy ever. It was still wet from my normal treatment. I immediately explained I only want a roller set, very little heat. The shampoo girl manipulated the crap out of my hair and combed it really hard in the sink. I was upset, but thought, from here it's ok lt a roller set so my hair can take it. She roller set me hair- good job. I leave the hair dryer and another lady is my point person now. She says, just a little heat at the roots. I reluctantly agree. She turns me from the mirror. I feel much more than root heating going on.. turn to the mirror and she was pressing my hair all the way down the shaft with billows of smoke coming from the iron!! Bottom line.. these people have a self hatred of natural hair and think that everyone wants it bone straight. No respect for the process it takes to grow long natural hair and think they know better. I had to have 2 inches = 1 year of hair growth cut the next week because I had straight ends. One year of growth for a stylist to feel satisfied that she did what she wanted to do = BS. Don't go.

UPDATE; Ms. Cristina contacted me and offered to make sure here was no miscommunication the next time I came to her shop. She was concerned and wants me to have a good experience. I will try again.

I returned, and the stylist did a really nice job. She didn't over manipulate my hair and commented on how healthy my hair was. She did exactly when what I asked, a roller set. Great job! I will return. Can't recall her name :( but will edit my review with her name when I find it.

I go to them at least once a month depending on my work schedule. I can’t wait to get my hair done. No burning my scalp but I love the deep conditioning. I go to sleep. Yes right to sleep. No but seriously I like this salon . I would recommend it. T

I explained exactly how I wanted my hair and Francia nailed it! I came right back two weeks later and Francia remembered me as soon as I walked in! I took my daughter here for her 10th birthday. The salon is very clean and comfortable, and most of all kid friendly. My daughter has a lot of hair where doing it myself leaves the both of us in tears. But, her stylist was very gentle with my daughter and did a fantastic job. Absolutely no tears! For me, the drive is worth it. We will be back.

Love going to Cristina's. The ladies are wonderful and do a great job. Had my hair done for my Christmas ball and absolutely loved it! My mom also had her hair dyed and blowed.

I had a really good experience here! The ladies here were courteous and efficient. When I walked in I was greeted, asked what service I wanted and then taken to the wash bowl. The shampoo was awesome! She massaged my scalp and made sure my hair was very clean. I was then placed under the dryer for a deep condition, then rinsed for my roller set. While I was under the dryer one of the ladies came to check to be sure everything was ok and then offered me some water. My dryer shut off and I did not have to wait long to be blow out and styled. The ladies where so nice and were smiling and pleasant the whole time. I wish my hair could handle the heat more often so I could come back and enjoy this great service.

Cristina O Cristina! This salon is a hidden treasure! I love the way you feel welcomed once you enter the salon. The beauticians show that care about the quality of their service and the health of your hair. It's not just a blow dry mill like some of these other salons I've been too. This is my second time here and I have officially made this my spot.

I've been here 3 different times on three different days and had three different stylists. I get wash and sets with flat iron. Everyone has done a good job. I've never had to wait long to be seen.

I went in to have hair Botox done. I have been looking for a place that offers this service and it has been difficult to find in Maryland. They did an awesome job and were very reasonably priced. I left with my hair shiny and very healthy. I will definitely be going back. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

I was in and out in like 45 minutes. Great conversation... and NO HEAT DAMAGE!! I'll be back! My hair was healthy so I didn't need a trim and they didn't try to tell me I needed one! Awesome spot!

I come here for Blow-outs and Pin Curls. I'm usually in and out and never had to wait. My natural hair comes back no problem. Lastly, prices are reasonable and worth the convenience plus quick but attentive service.

Went to the salon after reading multiple great reviews. This has now been my second visit and so far service and results have been above expectation. Everyone is professional, regardless of the number of clients in the salon you feel as if they are taking their time on your hair. So far I have only had Francia do my hair. I’m very happy with her work and plan to continue working with her. A plus is that she is very nice and takes time to understand what service you like. I highly recommend this salon and Francia!!

I enjoy going to this salon and walking out quickly. Francia always styles my hair the way I like it. I recommend to anyone looking for a great Dominican Hair Salon.

There's a few Dominican salons now on this area, but I like this one the best. First, everyone is friendly and treat you well. Second you can walk in or do an appointment. If you're a little short on time I suggest call the salon a day in advance so they can do an appointment and be ready for you. My hair is curly but thin and they understand my hair and don't get frustrated or scared about it. Depending on the service, it can get pricey but you'll leave satisfied with the results. They mostly speak Spanish but they have people that speak English too. I recommend it 100% specially if you have natural hair or want a beautiful blowout.

So happy I came here! From the moment I called, to walking in the door, to sitting in the chair, it was a pleasant experience. Elsa was so sweet and helped me get exactly what I needed. I was really impressed with the blowout. My hair feels so soft and silky. I've already received multiple compliments. Now the test is how long it last. But I'm not too worried about that. I just know I will definitely be coming back.

I have been coming to this salon for about four years now everyone is good at what they do from Bibby to Ramona to Francesca. I have had them all do my hair. They all know how to do hair very well natural hair like my own to permed hair. They are very gentle and patient and cater to your needs. I highly recommend anyone to come join the Christina O salon community you will be highly impressed.

I've been twice and everyone there was extremely polite, respectful and accommodating to me. Ramona is the one who gave me the works. They are awesome that's where I'll be going FOREVERRRRRR.

This is my to go place to get my hair done. The ladies are so sweet and pleasant. I'm very particular with my hair because my hair tends to be difficult to deal with. Cristina's Dominican Salon have helped me to restore and grow my hair again. They treat me like a Queen every time I come to the Salon!!! Love them!

I just took my locs of 16 years out! I had no clue about natural hair. I was scared and nervous. I read ALL the reviews and compared to other salons in the area, and decided to take a chance! I grabbed my best friend for moral support and around the corner we went!

Can I say it was the best decision ever made?! Elsa greeted me immediately! I told her my struggle she alert my stylist! Ramona did an excellent job! It was an in and out process. Ramona answered all my questions during the process. Elsa explained how to maintain my hair, what I should and shouldn't do, how often I need to come back. She told me the price and the specials the salon offers. I was so pleased i gave her a hug on my way out! I would have hugged Ramona but she was working on someone else.

No, Im not Dominican but I tell you what...she did better on my hair then what my own race has done over the YEARS!!!! Go in and try there services for yourself! My first visit to Cristina O Dominican Salon was an extremely plesant and satisfying experience. The atmosphere was friendly and Cristina did an outstanding job with my hair. In addition she gave me helpful tips to make my style last.

Ok, I've been frequenting this salon for a couple months now and I'm pretty sure I have found my permanent 'mane' home. The salon itself is clean and set up pretty well. There's space in the back for ladies to get a manicure and pedicure. Outside is an abundance of parking since it's near a bunch of medical offices.

Cristina (the stylist, although Cristina O the owner is pretty cool too!) is amazing! She's been doing my hair for a few years and my hair is always bouncing, flowing and swanging whenever I leave her chair. Not to mention she pays careful attention to the health of your hair and is very good at recommending treatments to improve your hair.

As a natural, I have a healthy fear of flat irons ( I have fried my curls straight more than a couple times lol) so I prefer the old school rolos n blow dry routine. Cristina is a master at this. I appreciate the time she takes to painstakingly blow dry and pin curl my hair -it's definitely time consuming! But she does it with a smile and I always leave the salon feeling great.

I'm new to the area and this was my first time at a Dominican salon. Biby was great! I know my hair is SUPER dry but she really made it look and feel great. She washed me 3 times and deep conditioned my hair with heat. I have no idea how they work their magic, but I walked out with smooth, silky hair. I went on a Monday and had a wash, set, and blow out. It was only $35!!!! I have definitely found my hair home! Thank you so much!

My daughter and I came in on a Sunday and were seen right away. We were greeted promptly and taken to the shampoo area to get our hair thoroughly washed and deep conditioned. My daughter and I are totally natural so the level of care that was taken with our hair was remarkable. They even offer snacks and water for guests which is a really nice touch. We will definitely be returning to this gem in Laurel.

Love this place. They are always prompt and I have never left disappointed. After moving down here I have tried three other local salons before finding this place. They leave your hair silky, straight and shiny. I would not go anywhere else.

As i walked in, they told me to hang my coat and take a seat to be called for shampooing. I didn't wait long for the owner to come over and introduce herself and offer to begin my shampoo. She did my first wash then another young girl came and finished up the shampoo and conditioning. The experience was pretty good. I was taken to a chair where another stylist (Bella) set my hair and put me under the dryers. The dryer experience was a bit more than I could take the dryer was set too high. She lowered the dryer after my complaint but she was not really happy about it. Which is why I give a 4* instead of 5. The costumer couldn't take that much heat so I think she should have understood. The blow dry and flat iron was great and I loved how my hair looked after she completed my style. I had her to pin curl it since it was late and I knew I was going home to end my evening before bed.

I usually have a good time here and I won't let one rude person stop me from coming, but idk who this new lady is. ..but nah I highly doubt she'll do my hair again. This is the best place ever!!!! It's like being in the Dominican salons in Jersey!! Francis is my stylist and is very big on hair care!! Sandra gives the best pedicures in Laurel!! They are never closed and even open on Sunday!! I never wait a long time and I get a pedicure and a wash and set at the same time!! Truly amazing, you've gotta try it!!

I took my 13 y.o. daughter to Christina O's for a KAPs Filler (Keratin Associated Proteins) Treatment. She is bi-racial Black/Puerto Rican and her hair is pretty thick. The treatment was applied very professionally and is expected to last 3-4 months. I am so happy and my daughter is extremely cofidenct now. Definitely worth the cost and it's the best her hair has ever looked.

The owner, Elsa, is the best! She takes time to talk to you, explain processes and show pics of other clients hair. As a bonus, they go around and offer free water and snacks and I even won a gift card from a raffle they had. Great salon, excellent stylists!

I have visited this salon on several occasions. Luckily it is located right around the corner from my home. The stylists are always friendly, knowledgeable in doing all styles and skillful in trimming and other services.
My hair is natural so I have visited mainly for wash, deep condition, blow outs for extensions, and blow dry.
They are very interested in hair care and maintenance when you leave their salon. I need that and love having a resource for hair care that the wants you to come back and feel empowered between salon visits.
The prices are reasonable prices and better than most salons I have been too. The price list is displayed in the salon.
I highly recommend this salon for any service....I trust their craft.
There is also a nail salon. I haven't visited it yet but likely will.

My 1st visit to Cristina's restored my faith in Dominican hair salons!! I went to another salon in Bowie months ago and it was such a horrible experience. I swore off Dominican hair salons until I needed a "quick do" for an unplanned outing. When I walked in the door I was greeted by stylists and patrons. The atmosphere was so welcoming! Everyone was friendly.
Biby was my stylist and she was personable and professional. She didnt try to burn my scalp with the dryer unlike that other salon. The price was reasonable and I got a free deep conditioner as a new client. I was really satisfied overall. Finally a Dominican salon is doing it right!!! Great job Cristina's! You earned a loyal customer.

First of all, Elsa is a great owner of the salon! I love this salon! They recently, well a while back, moved to a new location and it's a hidden gem now in a business park! Every time I've come I've been promptly taken care of! Their deep conditioning is the best, I don't know what it is about the deep condition but I love their process more say. They show true care in your hair; the products they use are great! The beauticians take the time to know your name personally and hold conversations while doing your hair. They've asked me so many times if I spoke Spanish or am I Dominican . I always say no but I know a LITTLE Spanish, and even when I say no they still speak to me in Spanish. It's almost as if I'm learning a second language as I'm getting my hair done.
They don't rush and they work as a team to get you out of the salon, so you're not there all day. This visit I did use my free deep condition because I checked in on Yelp :) but def go on Tuesdays and Thursdays to get the specials. If you don't remember they will send those email blasts to remind you!
Andddddd... when it rains, they are sure you leave with a shower cap on to ensure your hair will not be ruined!! That's great customer service!

So I decided to check this place out because I just moved to the area and need a new salon (can't do the 40 minutes it would now be to my old spot in Silver Spring). The most recent reviews on Yelp for Cristina O were good, so I went for a wash, deep condition, blow out and trim last night. I spent $96 ($70 for cut, $10 for trim, $10 for deep condition, but they give you $10 when you're a first time customer and $16 tip). Honestly, that's A LOT for me, but my hair reaches to the middle of my back and like most Dominican salons, they charge by length. My hair is also very naturally curly and extremely tangly and the woman that took care of me was very gentle and took her time to detangle my hair. She also gave me the BEST wash of my life! I was also told that if I did a roller set, it would be about $10 cheaper and they also have specials on Tuesdays and Thursdays. So in the future, I could possible get down to between $70-80 per visit, which is closer to what I'm used to. Overall, I'm very happy with my hair (FLAWLESS), the cut was good, literally the best wash ever, and she didn't pull my hair or burn me at all. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for!

I have been coming to Cristina O's pretty much since they opened. I absolutely LOVE this salon and the ladies who work there. I have always been treated well, my hair has steadily grown and gotten healthier over the years and the price has been just right! I never have to wait for service and there's never the drama that can be typical in beauty salons. I've recommended the salon to several friends and family members who have all loved the service, as well. I've also gotten my nails done there and the service is excellent! It's a nice, clean environment and I will continue to go there as long as I'm living in the area.

I came in based on the reviews on Yelp. I loved how they communicated with me the entire time and let me know what products they were going to put in my hair and why they were using them. They definitely did a great job. And the salon was very clean. I will definitely be a regular at this salon. I'm very impressed with how straight my hair is now.

The service was great. My daughter doesn't like anyone doing her hair. I found out about this Salon cause the owner was passing flyers around the mall, so we decided to try it. We left the place very satisfied. Great customer service. Cristina took good care of me and my daughter. We had lots of complementary from family and friends about the hair and how shinning and healthy our hair look. Good product and amazing service. Great place! very friendly my girlfriend goes to this salon, she usually gets perms but lately went natural and they really treat and take care of her hair. What can I say... Each time I've been here - the ladies treated my daughter like she was a princess! They took VERY good care of her and her hair.... the results have NEVER disappointed. I retired the creamy crack and have been #TeamNatural for the last two years and normally wear my hair in protective styles (braids, weaves, wigs). Every now and then I do wear my natural hair out, so I go to a Dominican Salon. Cristina O Dominican Salon is conveniently located next to the Laurel Lakes shopping center. The layout of the salon is really nice. I got a wash and set with a deep conditioner. Cristina is really great stylist. She wasn't intimidated by my natural roots and didn't try to convince me to relax my hair like some other stylists that I've dealt with. They work with all different hair types which I love. When I left my hair was full with a lot of body, just the way I like it. I would definitely suggest this salon and Cristina if you're looking for a quality wash and set in the DC Metro Area.
